2014 Amici Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Friendly, ripe, and ready to drink now

2014 Amici Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Amici’s Napa Cab is 80 percent Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Malbec. Fruit was sourced from both hillside and valley vineyards, and the wine aged for 22 months in French oak, about two-thirds new.

The velvety robe is nearly opaque and offers a fragrance is of juniper berry and cassis, redwood, and Christmas-spiced vanilla. The palate is ample and lush, with ripe black cherries and black raspberries carried on a frame of modest tannins.

An approachable, ripe-fruited Cabernet Sauvignon that’s ready to drink but could age for five to eight years. Pair it now with dark meats and medium-aged cheeses.
