A varietal Cab Franc grown in Lake County, Alexander Valley, and Napa and a great example of what this grape can do in California. It offers fruits and their sweetness plus herbs and their sharpness. Its black cassis and blackberry notes are ornamented by rosemary and sage, and the wine’s acidity and tannins are firmly underpinning. Balanced and ready now; I like this wine with vegan fare, or vegetarian cuisine dosed with cheese and herbs: lasagne, ratatouille, moussaka.
