Into the Woods

Martin Ranch
Thérèse Vineyards Zinfandel
2006

This zin is stiff, like so many of the other Martin Ranch bottles we've had (see our reviews of the Petite Sirah and Cab). There's lots of oak and tannin, but plenty of dark bramble fruit, too, plus chocolate, tobacco, and earth. Completely age-worthy. We probably opened it too soon.

Price: $22
